Textured Rainbow Stripes

I haven't really been doing much nail art lately...So I did some pretty awesome free handed stripes to continue to practice getting straight lines. Textured polishes are perfect for that since they aren't runny, and are really opaque. Here's how it came out:

The colors I used starting from red to purple: China Glaze- Bump & Grind, China Glaze- Toe-tally Textured, Milani- Yellow Mark, China Glaze- In The Rough, China Glaze- Of Coarse!, and Dance Legend- Vernazza.

I started off with making the yellow stripe so I was sure I had enough room for all the colors. I used 2 coats for each color. I really like the outcome! I also put two coats of top coat on it making it super shiny. My camera couldn't handle it. Hopefully I will have some nail art coming up!

Texture Skittles

I finally got some of the Sally Hansen "Sugar Coat" polishes. I only wanted the ones that were different colors than my China Glaze and Milani's, and I used the rest of my untried ones all at once. Here is the first ones I used, making a Rainbow. And here is what I came up with to use the rest:

Lets start with the colors starting from the thumb to the pinky: Milani- Yellow Mark, China Glaze- Itty, Bitty, & Gritty, China Glaze- Unrefined, Sally Hansen- Bubble Plum, Sally Hansen- Sour Apple, and the black used for the dots is Sally Hansen- Lick-O-Rich.

Each polish was two coats. I really do love the formula of these. They are nearly one coaters, and don't dry as slow as the OPI textured polishes. I have yet to wear my Zoya Pixiedusts, so I can't compare them to those.

As you can see, the texture doesn't make easy dotting. But at least I don't have to worry about the top coat ruining it. I haven't used any of these with a top coat yet, so I might do a quick post tomorrow showing them with a top coat!

Texture Rainbow

I have been itching to do this for so long, like over a month once I got the full set of the China Glaze Textures. But I had no yellow! I did a recent nail swap, and my girl got me the yellow one from Milani!! Here it is:

Starting from the red > blue, here are the names: China Glaze- Bump & Grind, China Glaze- Toe-Tally Textured, Milani- Yellow Mark, China Glaze- In The Rough, and China Glaze- Of Course!

The formula on these is pretty awesome. Most of them were almost opaque in one coat, and unlike the OPI textures these dry almost like a normal polish. The wear time is pretty good, too. I haven't removed them yet, so hopefully the removal is just as easy as the OPI's!

Oh yeah, Toe-Tally Textured is the exact color as Papaya Punch. Of Course! is the same as Sunday Funday, and In The Rough is almost the same color as Electric Pineapple.
