Lilypad Lacquer + Pretty & Polished

I got these two polishes from my most recent swap, and I knew for sure that I would be putting these on together. One has been a lemming of mine for ever, and the other I had no idea existed, but my girl got it for me cuz I love green, and holographic polishes! Here it is:

Soooo pretty!

The green polish is Lilypad Lacquer- Once Upon a Lime. This is probably my new favorite green holo, aside from the green I have from the China Glaze OMG collection. Not only is the holo really strong, but it also has a really nice shimmer through out it. Most holos looks really dull in indoor lighting, but this one is sooooo gorgeous! And once it is in the sun light, it is like BAM! The formula is also amazing! So easy to work with, and nearly opaque in one coat, but I used two.

The gradient on the tips is using Pretty & Polished- Sand Art. I love this polish! It is a matte glitter, a lot like the floam polishes. It is a mixture of green, blue, and red glitters. Unfortunately it is kind of hard to get you hands on.

Since the holo didn't show up as strong in the normal photos, here is a shot of my nails at a slightly different angle to show it more, and a bottle shot that will make your jaw drop:

You can get Lilypad Lacquer on their Etsy, and I am pretty sure they ship internationally. I ordered my first polish I got from them straight from their etsy. Llarowe also stocks them, but last I checked they were all sold out, but her site is down anyways!

San Francisco 49er Nail Art

I have never have been a fan of football, but my boyfriend loves it. So, of course I will support the team he likes, especially since they kicked butt again this year and nearly made it to the Superbowl for the 2nd year in a row... Here is what I did, nothing too fancy:

For those of you who don't know, the 49er's colors are red and gold.

I couldn't decide if I wanted silver or black as the base, so I did both without realizing that they are Raider's colors. Oh well.

The silver is Urban Outfitters- Silver Holo and the black is Color Club-  Beyond (Halo Hues Collection 2013). Both were two coats.

Then, using the brush from the bottle, I started with the gold shade which is Cirque- Chrysopoeia (Alchemy Collection 2013). Then did the red which is Emily de Molly- Seeing Red

I really like this nail art, very easy, yet eye catching.

Simple Swatch: HARE Polish

Here is another amazing polish from HARE polish:

HARE Polish- Anemone Gardens

This polish is a purple jelly base with the same consistency of glitters like all the HARE polishes I have, JAM PACKED! Jam packed, yet not thick and a beezy to work with which is always good. It has a variety of glitters in it: small, medium, and large purple circle glitter, medium green squares, small green hexagons, and some purple shimmers. I love the color combo in this one!

Since the base is so sheer, I layered it over one coat of China Glaze- Flying Dragon. It is pretty much the same color purple but it has a little bit of a blue shimmer through out it.

You can get HARE polish on Etsy and Llarowe , but of course it is sold out, so keep an eye out for it!

Textured Polka Dots

I saw Squeaky Nails do some polka dots using textured polish, so I thought, hey, I haven't done polka dots in a while, and I still have some textured polishes to use! Here is what I came up with:

I started off with two coats of OPI- Pussy Galore (Bond Girls Collection 2013). I love this pink on my skin tone! I still won't get over the name either.

I started off by making large dots first. The red is OPI- Magazine Cover Mouse (OPI Couture de Minnie Collection 2013). A standard red textured polish with a lot of sparkle in it! And the purple is Zoya- Carter (Pixiedust Collection Fall 2013). This is probably the sheerest of all textured polishes that I have. They tend to be pretty thick, but this one has more of a thin glitter consistency. Still a gorgeous color though.

And just for fun, here is a picture I am submitting in a contest on Instgram:

This is for mcpolish's birthday giveaway. I rarely do giveaways, but the prize is her collab shade with Pipe Dream Polish. It is an amazing thermal that sold out pretty fast, and I am DYING to have it!

Simple Swatch: Happy Hands

Happy Hands is another one of those brands that I have been eying for a while. I put a bunch of polishes in my cart, and end up just exiting the screen due to talking myself out of getting the polishes. There are just too many awesome indies out there right now, not enough fingers to paint, or enough time!! Anyways, here is my first Happy Hands that my nail mail buddy, Dee, got me!

Happy Hands- Everything's Coming Up Milhouse

If you couldn't tell by the name of the polish, this is from the Springfield USA Collection for the fall of 2013. This was the one that I absolutely had to have! I first saw swatches of this collection on Samariums Swatches blog. She had a picture of the polish on its own using three coats, and 2 coats over a blue polish. I decided to go for using two coats over China Glaze- Flyin High since the blue base is a fairly sheer jelly. I love how it came out!

Happy New Year!

I am a little late on these...but oh well. Sorry for not doing as many fun manicures as I wanted. I was literally non stop busy from Christmas until the Saturday after. At least I had time to do some fun nails for New Years Eve, even though I stayed in all night... Here there are:

I think I am finally starting to master Leopard Print...

I started off with three coats of Liquid Sky Lacquer- White Christmas (Christmas Holodays Collection Winter 2013). It is definitely the sheerest holo that I have, but the most unique shade in my collection! You can really see the holo in the bottle!

My ring finger is two coats of China Glaze- It's A Trap-Eze! (Cirque Du Soleil Collection Winter 2012) I don't think this polish needs much explanation...It is the perfect polish for New Years. And the formula is amazing as well.

On to the leopard print: I decided to play around with textures and used only textured polishes for the actual leopard print. I used all six of the Julie G Frosted Gumdrop polishes which are:

Hot Cinnamon
Sugar Rush
Tangerine Dream
Rock Candy
Blueberry Fizz
Crushed Candy

All the names make me hungry!

The black used for the outline of the leopard print is Sally Hansen- Lick-O-Rich (Sugar Coated Collection 2013)

Just for fun here is my thumb. I think this was the best finger I did, especially since it has all 6 of the frosted gumdrop shades on it!

 Hope you enjoyed these!
