Glam Polish is one of those indies that came about like 2 years ago and just blew everyone's minds. They still continue to do that with these amazing collections they release like every month, easily making them one of my top favorite indies. When I wore these two polishes together, I literally could NOT stop staring at my nails. Glam Polish, keep em coming!
See what I mean?
I am not the biggest pink fan, but I can be a sucker for a gorgeous baby pink. Add some holographic shimmer and glitter into it and I am sold! These are both from the Knockout collection, which I couldn't help but buy the entire collection.
I started off with two coats of POW! which is the baby pink. Formula was a dream to work with of course. I applied a fast drying top coat before adding my half moon stickers, then applied a thickish coat of BANG!. I think these two polishes compliment each other very well and can not wait to wear them again, if that ever happens....
My ring finger is KB Shimmer- Turnip the Beat which is a textured polish. I applied a top coat to it which I think is the first time I have ever done that with a textured polish. I know the textured craze is kind of over, but I still love them as an accent nail!
Here is a blurry shot to really show the sparkle and shine!

Gold and Magenta Skittle
I am not the best at describing color names, but I would say these colors are pretty close to magenta...This is just a simple skittle using some new polishes for Winter:
The polish that isn't really new is the gold on my middle and ring finger which is Mod Lacquer- UFO Cover-Up (Above Top Secret Collection 2014). I used two coats for both fingers, then applied a fast drying top coat. Then using binder paper reinforcement stickers and Nail Vinyls, I placed them on the nail where I wanted, and painted one thick coat of Enchanted Polish- September 2014.
The awesome glitters/textured polishes on my index and pinky finger are both from KB Shimmer's Winter 2014 collection. The magenta is Turnip The Beet and the gold is Dressed To Gild. Both were really easy to work with. Dressed to Gild was slightly thicker and super glitter dense, but they were both two coats.
Stay tuned for my Thanksgiving Day nails! They are gonna pretty awesome.

Yes, More Half Moons
I am in a bit of a nail art rut right now, so I am content with doing everything in half moons or french tips! Sorry, but the creative part of my brain has kind of switched off for quite a while, all though I do have 2 pretty awesome things planned. One I just haven't gotten around to doing, and the other one is using polishes that will be released tomorrow, so I don't exactly have what I need to create the look I am going for... Anyways, here are some more half moons:
Sorry for the boo boo on my pinky, one of my mice bit me real good over the weekend...
I started off with 2 coats of Ooh La Lacquer- Summer Daze (Summer Collection 2014). This is one of the more opaque Ooh La Lacquer holos that I have tried, I love it! Formula was awesome. It is super vibrant purple/fuchsia shade, but the color on top kind of took away from the awesomeness of it. You can see a better swatch here, and why not buy it while your there!
The textured polish on my ring finger is OPI- My Current Crush. This came in a limited edition set last year, so I am not sure how readily available this is.
Lastly, the awesome shimmery purple on my other nails is Orly- Hot Tropics. I am in love with this color! I have had it for a while and am just now getting around to wearing it...so sad. Just in time before summer is officially over. The formula is fantastic. I did one thickish coat on top of the holo, but depending how small your nail beds are, you could definitely get away with one coat with this polish! It is a vibrant purple base with tons of gold and silver shimmers in it. I am so happy the shimmer actually shows up on the nails. This picture is fairly color accurate too, it may be just a little darker in person. Pictures can't really do it justice.....

Enchanted Polish French Tips
I joined the Enchanted Polish mailing list towards the beginning of the year, so I have been lucky enough to have gotten all the LE monthly polishes since March! The last ones I got was May, June, and July 2014. June is a dark purple, so I will wear that another time, so I paired May and June together:
Seriously amazing polishes....
The orange is Enchanted Polish- May 2014. It is a burnt orange, super strong hollow, and had an amazing formula! Oranges don't agree with my skin tone a lot, but this one surprisingly did! I used two coats here.
The red is Enchanted Polish- July 2014. The holo in this one isn't as strong, but it is still pretty apparent. It is very saturated. I remember when I swatched it on my nail wheel it was nearly a one coater, and the nails on those wheels are pretty wide and long!
And of course I used a textured polish for the accent. I used one of my faves, OPI- Jinx (Bond Girls Collection 2013). It is a nice mix between red and orange, so I thought it went very nicely with these!

Simple Swatch: Colors By Llarowe
I just couldn't come up with any good ideas for nail art the other day, and I sometimes get overwhelmed with the amount of polish I have. So, I just picked a holo I haven't worn yet:
The perfect green holo for the holidays!
This polish is Colors By Llarowe- Gemini Rising (Summer Collection 2014). This was nearly a one coater, but I did two coats. The formula was flawless, not runny, but not thick, just perrrrfect. And the holo is super strong like all Color By Llarowe holos! Gemini Rising is actually in stock on Llarowe's Website, so go get it!
Lastly, the texture I paired it with is KB Shimmer- Partner's in Lime (Early Summer Collection 2014). Amazing formula as well. One coat is almost full coverage, so you definitely need a second coat.

KB Shimmer Skittle
I lied on the last post. I am going to post my fourth of July nails tomorrow, on the actually holiday. Here is a skittle I did, which I thought was a good idea at the time, not really feelin it:
I think this would have been much better without the grey on my pinky....
The color on my index and middle finger is KB Shimmer- Make My Grey (Spring Collection 2014). I love this polish! It is a light grey crelly base, packed with large, medium, and small coral, navy, and purple hexagonal glitters, and some random purple squares in there. I will never get tired of grey polishes.
The color on my pinky is KB Shimmer- When The Doves Sigh (Spring Collection 2014). This is such a fun mix of glitters, but just didn't go with these other polishes like I thought it would. It is a dark grey base, almost a one coater, with too many glitters to describe.... It is just a variety of purple, pink, and blue glitters in various shapes and sizes, and a light sprinkle of small holographic glitters.
Lastly, the textured polish is Zoya- Nyx. It is a dusty blue shade, but kind of has a little grey in it too, which is why I paired it with these polishes. I used two coats for all the polishes.

KB Shimmer Textured Halfmoons
Yes, more textured halfmoons, but I just can't help myself when I see a perfect color combo, especially if it is the same brand! Here it is:
Ain't it pretty?
I started off with two coats of the base colors, and added a fast drying top coat before applying the stickers for the half moon shape. The purple is KB Shimmer- Pansy-Monium, and the green is KB Shimmer- Honey Dew List. Both are from their Spring 2014 Collection. I love that indies are pushing out normal creme polishes now because you know they try to make them high quality, and they definitely are. Super creamy and easy to work with.
The Colors I used for the half moons are from their Early Summer 2014 Collection. The green is KB Shimmer- Partners in Lime and the purple is KB Shimmer- Too Pop to Handle. Gorgeous shades. I didn't try taking these off without foil, so I am not sure if they are easy to take off like the OPI Liquid Sands and Zoya Pixiedust. I am assuming you still need foil since they have the super chunky glitters like the new Zoya Magical Pixiedusts, which do require the foil removal method!
Up next will be my Fourth of July nails!

My First Attempt At Chevrons
Nail vinyls are all the rage right now, and I finally convinced myself to get some since I will have time to use them this summer! I got mine from NailVinyls who carry a nice variety, including simple stripe tape which I loved the idea of since regular rolls of striping tape are such a hassle to deal with! Anyways, here is what I did:
I of course chose your non traditional polish to paint over the tape...
First I applied 2 coats of the base colors, which are actually holos, but are not showing up super holo as they are :(. The dark periwinkle is Cirque- Sky Woman (Heritage Collection Summer 2014). Amazing, that is all I have to say! And the lighter periwinkle is Enchanted Polish- April 2014.
I started applying the nail vinyls in the middle of my nail so they would be pretty symmetrical, and I think that worked out well. Then I applied a fairly thick coat of KB Shimmer- She Twerks Out (Early Summer Collection 2014). An amazing textured polish, but isn't showing up really textured here.

Simple Swatch: I Love Nail Polish + OPI
Here is a quick simple swatch from about a week ago:
The holographic is ILNP- Summer Stargazing (Summer Collection 2014). It is an awesome deep royal blue holo, but the holo wasn't showing up super strong in my photos from some reason. The formula was awesome. You could get away with one coat if you have really short nails, but I used 2 coats.
The textured polish is OPI- Wharf! Wharf! Wharf! (San Francisco Collection Fall 2013). Love the name of this polish, if you have been to fisherman's wharf on pier 39, then you would understand why! It is one of the few matte textured polishes that OPI has released, very easy to work with like all textured polishes from OPI, I used 2 coats, but again if you have short nails, you could easily get away with 1 coat!

Green Skittlette
My nails have been naked the last couple days :( This was the last manicure I wore, and it was chipping so bad that I just took it off, but no time of course to do them again! I barely have time to do my blog posts now! I am still pushing through, and I will still be happy if I do some posts rather than zero. Here is the green skittles I did:
The green glitter is KB Shimmer- Toucan Touch This. It is a fairly sheer green jelly base, so It required three thicker coats. It is packed full of rainbow bar glitters, and rainbow bigger glitters, no purple though. I haven't wore my KB Shimmers in a while, and when I pulled this out you can see a white layer on the the bottom of the bottle... No matter how much I shook it it wouldn't really go away, has anyone else had this problem? It is happening to some of my other KB Shimmers, and my Lush Lacquer's as well.
The green holo is Jade- Oasis. It is very similar to the new Enchanted Polish I got, but it is slightly more yellow. good formula, opaque in two coats.
Lastly, the green textured on my pinky is China Glaze- In The Rough. A Lime green matte textured. I surprisingly got more compliments on this polish than the others! I used two coats.

Some More Textured Half moons
I hope you aren't getting tired of my textured half moons... I simply have no time for nail art, especially this quarter with school, it is kicking my but! Anyways, here it is:
The gorgeous textured polish is Loreal- Sexy in Sequins (Gold Dust Collection). I believe these are part of their permanent nail polish line, for now at least. It is a dark purple base with tones of gold, purple, and silver shimmers. It also has some fairly chunky purple glitters in it too. It has a super thick formula, but it wasn't hard to work with, perfect for half moons! Dry time was quick unlike the OPI liquid sands, and it is easy to remove just like all other textured polishes, no foil required!
The purple holo on my index and pinky is Different Dimension- Dueling Unicorns (Fall 2013 Collection). I really didn't need this polish, I have a purple holo a lot like it, but that name!! Formula was amazing, 2 easy coats.
Lastly, the magenta holo on my middle and ring finger is Colors by Llarowe- Addicts Attack (LE April Charity Polish). This holo is GORGEOUS. I don't have anything like it, and the formula is flawless. I am happy Colors by Llarowe is getting a little easier to get your hands on, I was missing out! I have accumulated a lot recently, and I love every single one of them!

Pastel Skittle
I sometimes get overwhelmed with the amount of polish I have, and I just can't pick what I want to wear. So, picking a bunch to wear together is usually what I do...
The chunky glitter used is Sephora Formula X- Thunder. Part of their indie-esque glitter line, and quite amazing! I got so much glitter onto the brush and it was so easy to apply! I am very impressed with these glitters!
The textured polish on my middle finger is Sally Hansen- Sour Apple (Sugar Coat Collection 2013). I used two coats.
Both creme polishes used are from Illimasqua. The minty turquoise color is Illimasqua- Nomad and the purple is Illimasqua- Jo' mina. Some of the best creme polishes out there, expensive, but well worth the pretty penny! Both were two coats, but almost one coaters.

Barney Nails
I have always loved green and purple together, especially if they are holos! A girl at work said I was wearing Barney colors, so I decided to just stick with calling them that! Here it is:
I believe the holos are both from Colors By Llarowe's Spring collection for this year, I could be wrong though.
The green is Colors By Llarowe- Mojito, and the purple is Colors By Llarowe- Flip Flops & Tank Tops. Both were two flawless coats, they seriously went on like butter! I unfortunately couldn't get the holo to show up as strong as some other swatch photos show them :( They are still amazing regardless.
The green textured polish is Kiko- Spring Green. Probably my favorite textured polish of all time, it is just the perfect shade of spring green, super sparkly, and almost a one coater!!
Here is a photo of them at a different angle showing a little more intense of a holo effect:

Textured Rainbow Halfmoons
I did something similar to this a while ago, only I didn't use textured polishes. You can see it HERE. Let's get to it:
Onto the textured colors:
OPI- Magazine Cover Mouse (Couture de Minnie Collection 2013)
OPI- Jinx (James Bond Girls Collection 2013)
Kiko- 643 Spring Green (Sugar Mat Collection 2013)
Zoya- Liberty (Summer Pixiedust Collection 2013)
Zoya- Carter ((Fall Pixiedust Collection 2013)
All were just one thick coat
I will just list the colors starting from the thumb to the pinky, starting with the holographics:
Emily de Molly- Seeing Red
Dollish Polish- This Sh*t is Bananas
Nubar- Reclaim
Jade- Mirage
Emily de Molly- Devotion
Each were two coats, amazing formulas. Although the Dollish Polish was on the thick side, kind of hard to work with. But still a really pretty holo!

Floss Gloss Skittles
Floss Gloss was having a 20% off sale for Valentine's day, so I thought that was an excuse to get some, especially their newest shade they just released!
Probably the hardest bottles to hold...
The purple is their newest shade, and it is Floss Gloss- Lean. Such a beautiful purple! And amazing formula too. I used two coats on my index finger. The pale blue used as the base color for the half moons and smaller dots on my index finger is Floss Gloss- Moon Baby. The formula on this one was a little runny, but still good opacity, I used two coats. Lastly the bright blue on my pinky and the second color used for the half moon is Floss Gloss- Wavepool. OH MY GOSH! This polish is so beautiful, and the color saturation is to die for. It is pretty much a neon, and glided on like butter. You can get away with pretty much 1 coat if you have smaller nail beds, but I used to coats.
The textured polish used on my ring finger is Dance Legend- Vernazza. I used two coats as well.
You can get this Dance Legend polish along with their other textured polishes on Llarowe. And you can get Floss Gloss on their website and also various boutiques in the SF area.

Textured Polka Dots
I saw Squeaky Nails do some polka dots using textured polish, so I thought, hey, I haven't done polka dots in a while, and I still have some textured polishes to use! Here is what I came up with:
I started off with two coats of OPI- Pussy Galore (Bond Girls Collection 2013). I love this pink on my skin tone! I still won't get over the name either.
I started off by making large dots first. The red is OPI- Magazine Cover Mouse (OPI Couture de Minnie Collection 2013). A standard red textured polish with a lot of sparkle in it! And the purple is Zoya- Carter (Pixiedust Collection Fall 2013). This is probably the sheerest of all textured polishes that I have. They tend to be pretty thick, but this one has more of a thin glitter consistency. Still a gorgeous color though.
And just for fun, here is a picture I am submitting in a contest on Instgram:
This is for mcpolish's birthday giveaway. I rarely do giveaways, but the prize is her collab shade with Pipe Dream Polish. It is an amazing thermal that sold out pretty fast, and I am DYING to have it!

Happy New Year!
I am a little late on these...but oh well. Sorry for not doing as many fun manicures as I wanted. I was literally non stop busy from Christmas until the Saturday after. At least I had time to do some fun nails for New Years Eve, even though I stayed in all night... Here there are:
I think I am finally starting to master Leopard Print...
I started off with three coats of Liquid Sky Lacquer- White Christmas (Christmas Holodays Collection Winter 2013). It is definitely the sheerest holo that I have, but the most unique shade in my collection! You can really see the holo in the bottle!
My ring finger is two coats of China Glaze- It's A Trap-Eze! (Cirque Du Soleil Collection Winter 2012) I don't think this polish needs much explanation...It is the perfect polish for New Years. And the formula is amazing as well.
On to the leopard print: I decided to play around with textures and used only textured polishes for the actual leopard print. I used all six of the Julie G Frosted Gumdrop polishes which are:
Hot Cinnamon
Sugar Rush
Tangerine Dream
Rock Candy
Blueberry Fizz
Crushed Candy
All the names make me hungry!
The black used for the outline of the leopard print is Sally Hansen- Lick-O-Rich (Sugar Coated Collection 2013)
Just for fun here is my thumb. I think this was the best finger I did, especially since it has all 6 of the frosted gumdrop shades on it!
Hope you enjoyed these!

Hope you enjoyed these!

More Textured Half Moons
I have said it once, and I will say it again: Textured polishes are the best for half moon nail art! They are for the most part really thick which is what you need in a polish for doing half moons, plus the different textures make them look that much more awesome! This one isn't very winter-esque, but I don't care!
This is also the first time I have used a holo as the base color! Me likey.
Let's start off with the green nails: The holo is Color Club- Kismet (Halo Hues Collection 2013). Probably my favorite of the color club holographics, since it is green obviously. I used two coats, but you can get away with one thick coat if you want. The green textured polish is Kiko- Spring Green 643 (Sugar Mat Collection 2013). The first time I saw this polish was on My Polish Stash. I died. Kiko released a lot of amazing textured polish, but of course we American's can't get them that easily. Luckily my nail mail buddy had connections in Europe, and I got this beauty! It is amazing. I wish there were more green textures out there
The purple and pink nails: The holo base is Emily de Molly- Peer Pressure, I used two coats. I first show cased this polish here. Seriously the best pink out there! The textured purple is a polish I am really surprised I haven't heard much about. I don't even think I have seen it on any main stream blogger's blogs. The polish is OPI- My Current Crush (The Texture Effect LE Duo). This polish also came with a OPI base coat. I first saw this at ULTA and I am sure my jaw literally dropped. I wanted to get it since there were only 3 on the shelf, but I stopped myself and luckily when my boyfriend took me on my nail polish shopping spree, this was at my nail supply store! I actually didn't get that good of a deal since it is $10, and my shop had it for $9. Oh well
I hope you enjoyed these! And you will probably be seeing some more of these in the future :P

More Textured Half Moons
I don't think I have ever worn textured polishes on their own before. I may have mentioned it before, but this is the best way to wear them, in my opinion. Especially for someone with so much polish, it gives me a chance to use 2-4 polishes at the same time! Such a nail junkie thing to say... Here is what I did over a week ago:
Apologies for the ding on my middle finger. I decided to cook food right after, and textured polishes take forever to dry!
I started off with two coats of China Glaze- Secret Periwinkle for the the blue nails, and two coats of OPI- Planks A Lot (Pirates of the Caribbean Collection Spring 2011). Then I did the usual and applied a fast drying top coat and applied the binder paper reinforcement stickers before applying the textured polishes.
The blue texture I used is OPI- Alcatraz...Rocks (San Francisco Collection Winter 2013). Seriously amazing! It has so many green and gold glitters in there, it is hard to explain the beauty of it. It is a MUST HAVE. And believe it or not, my ring finger has a different color on it. I accidentally applied Alcatraz rocks, and tried just putting the purple over it, that didn't really work. But the purple I used is OPI- Can't Let Go (Mariah Carey Collection 2013). I used one coat of each textured.
Enjoy!

Textured Rainbow Stripes
I haven't really been doing much nail art lately...So I did some pretty awesome free handed stripes to continue to practice getting straight lines. Textured polishes are perfect for that since they aren't runny, and are really opaque. Here's how it came out:
The colors I used starting from red to purple: China Glaze- Bump & Grind, China Glaze- Toe-tally Textured, Milani- Yellow Mark, China Glaze- In The Rough, China Glaze- Of Coarse!, and Dance Legend- Vernazza.
I started off with making the yellow stripe so I was sure I had enough room for all the colors. I used 2 coats for each color. I really like the outcome! I also put two coats of top coat on it making it super shiny. My camera couldn't handle it. Hopefully I will have some nail art coming up!
