More Half Moons + Review

I wasn't feeling very inspired, and didn't have much time to do some fun nail art yet. I can always depend on half moons though. I think half moons are my favorite form of nail art besides glitter gradients. It is such a great way to use two untried polishes (I am still sticking to using untried polishes all month!) Here it is:

Sunlight

Shade

I got the idea to use these different finishes from Misshollyberries. She did a bunch of half moons with a foil/metallic first, and a creme or matte on top!

The foil shade is Pop- Jade Metallic. I don't think this shade is available anymore. That's too bad because this polish is amazing! It is pretty much a one coater, but I used two out of habit.

And the Jennifer Green creme on top is Seche- May Be Modest (Prim and Polished Collection Spring 2013). It has the slightest bit of shimmer in it which you can kind of see in the sunlight photos. I believe Seche polishes are meant to be one coaters, and dry just as fast as their famous top coat.

I must say, I am a little disappointed :(. The color is amazing, but the formula was a bit too thick and goopy for my liking, and it was streaky. It also didn't dry as fast as their top coat. I wore this for a day, and just like their top coat, it shrunk like CRAZY! I didn't use Seche Vite top coat, I used my Poshe one. The tips of my nails are clearly visible. That is a shame, because this whole collection was very pretty. I just got this color because of the color obviously, and just to try it out. My wallet will be thanking me because I really don't plan on buying anymore of these polishes.

  1. That green is really pretty, it's a shame about the issues though! The whole effect looks fab =)

    1. Thank you! I am just glad I didn't get more colors. I will have to try it on it's own first before considering getting more! The collection is beautiful!
