Mod Lacquer Holographics

Mod Lacquer quickly became one of my favorite indie brands last year, and it became even more of one of my favorites after Jennifer, the creator, released an all holo collection! I was originally gonna just get a few, but she had a good deal for all seven, so I thought why not! Here are most of them, aside from the black and silver:

Since I layered them over creme polishes, they looks slightly lighter than what they truly are.

I used a slightly thick coat of the holos after the base colors were dry. You could get away with one coat on their own if you have short nails. The formula is absolutely flawless, and dat holo is so strong! Definitely some of the strongest holos in my collection, and I have a lot now.

Here are the colors from the pink to purple:
Aerial Phenomenon
UFO Cover-Up
Alien Encounter
Clandestine
Majic Eyes Only

And here are the colors I used underneath:
China Glaze- Dance Baby (Electropop Collection Spring 2012)
China Glaze- Happy Go Lucky
China Glaze- Tree Hugger (Electropop Collection Spring 2012)
China Glaze- Flyin' High
Illimasqua- Jo' Mina

Simple Swatch: Hare Polish and Ooh La Lacquer

Here are some lovely polishes I paired together a few days ago:

The amazing glitter+creme polish is Hare Polish- Abbot Kinney (Viva Los Angeles Spring/Summer Collection). Yet another amazing polish from Hare Polish. I don't think I have been disappointed with any Hare Polish, and this one was no exception (I have probably said this exact same sentence in a previous Hare Polish post, too). This whole collection was absolutely perfect! I wanted all of them, but narrowed my choices down to two. She somehow manages to mix the most random glitters and colors together, making a unique, beautiful combination. This polish is a grey creme/jelly base, with tons of multiple size and shape green glitters, orange circles, and small pink and gold hexagonal  glitters. Just perfect.

I almost did a water marble, but didn't really have much time, so I just paired it with one of my untried holographics. It is Ooh La Lacquer- Glen Cocoa (Mean Girls Collection). I mainly wanted this for the name, but it is actually a gorgeous nudey brown super strong holo! I have accumilated A LOT of holos recently, especially from this brand, so expect to see a lot this summer.

My next manicure is actually using some new holographics, so stay tuned, it's a good one!

Long Time No See...

School is my excuse as always... I have been painting my nails, but the sun hasn't always been in my favor for pictures, so I have some photos built up to post, but not too many. Here is what I wore a week ago:

Not the best water marble....

These amazing glitters were released by Lacquerlicious a few weeks ago, which are unfortunately sold out right now. They are nearly neon fully opaque glitters. There are only three colors, so I did a water marble on the finger that didn't have glitter on it. All three were three coats, you could get away with two depending on how long your nails are and how thick you apply them. The colors are:

Beat the Heat
Lemon Limeade
At The Lake

The colors I  used for the water marble:
OPI- Fly (Nicki Minaj Collection Spring 2012)
Wet n Wild- Candy-Licious
Essie- The More The Merrier (Naughty Nautical Summer 2013)

Green Skittlette

My nails have been naked the last couple days :( This was the last manicure I wore, and it was chipping so bad that I just took it off, but no time of course to do them again! I barely have time to do my blog posts now! I am still pushing through, and I will still be happy if I do some posts rather than zero. Here is the green skittles I did:

The green glitter is KB Shimmer- Toucan Touch This. It is a fairly sheer green jelly base, so It required three thicker coats. It is packed full of rainbow bar glitters, and rainbow bigger glitters, no purple though. I haven't wore my KB Shimmers in a while, and when I pulled this out you can see a white layer on the the bottom of the bottle... No matter how much I shook it it wouldn't really go away, has anyone else had this problem? It is happening to some of my other KB Shimmers, and my Lush Lacquer's as well.

The green holo is Jade- Oasis. It is very similar to the new Enchanted Polish I got, but it is slightly more yellow. good formula, opaque in two coats.

Lastly, the green textured on my pinky is China Glaze- In The Rough. A Lime green matte textured. I surprisingly got more compliments on this polish than the others! I used two coats.

Some More Textured Half moons

I hope you aren't getting tired of my textured half moons... I simply have no time for nail art, especially this quarter with school, it is kicking my but! Anyways, here it is:

The gorgeous textured polish is Loreal- Sexy in Sequins (Gold Dust Collection). I believe these are part of their permanent nail polish line, for now at least. It is a dark purple base with tones of gold, purple, and silver shimmers. It also has some fairly chunky purple glitters in it too. It has a super thick formula, but it wasn't hard to work with, perfect for half moons! Dry time was quick unlike the OPI liquid sands, and it is easy to remove just like all other textured polishes, no foil required!

The purple holo on my index and pinky is Different Dimension- Dueling Unicorns (Fall 2013 Collection). I really didn't need this polish, I have a purple holo a lot like it, but that name!! Formula was amazing, 2 easy coats.

Lastly, the magenta holo on my middle and ring finger is Colors by Llarowe- Addicts Attack (LE April Charity Polish). This holo is GORGEOUS. I don't have anything like it, and the formula is flawless. I am happy Colors by Llarowe is getting a little easier to get your hands on, I was missing out! I have accumulated a lot recently, and I love every single one of them!
